Vellern amateur dramatics group: Liabenslust un Waterschaden

The Vellern amateur drama group is once again inviting audiences to a Low German theatre experience in January 2026. With the humorous play "Liabenslust un Waterschaden", the audience can expect a turbulent comedy full of bizarre characters, chaotic situations and a good dose of everyday madness.

The focus is on Siegfried, who simply has no luck at the moment: He is once again passed over for the position of chief accountant at his company, extensive renovation work is due on the electrical wiring and sanitary facilities in his flat and, as if that wasn't enough, his sister is also moving her friend Katrin Niedlich in with him. The chaotic Katrin makes a complete mess of his otherwise meticulously tidy flat, so that it soon looks "as if a bomb has gone off". To make matters worse, the pronounced and sometimes extremely strange quirks of everyone involved don't exactly help solve the problem. Even his friend Kalle is hardly on Siegfried's side at the moment, as he is on a kind of journey of self-discovery that doesn't really fit in with his true nature.

Despite (or perhaps because of) all the misadventures, the play provides plenty of comic moments, unexpected twists and turns and a heart-warming theatre experience in Low German.
