The asphalt surface will be renewed on many roads throughout the city over the next few weeks. The respective roads will have to be closed in the process.
Due to work on the supply lines, Konrad-Adenauer-Ring will temporarily become a one-way street in this direction between Werseweg and Hammerstraße from 22 April.
On 4 March, the new construction of the "Im Werl" foot and cycle path bridge over the River Angel in the area of the Neubeckum sewage treatment plant begins.
2,200 square metres of asphalt, 1,700 square metres of concrete block paving and 530 square metres of green space: the eastern section of Dechant-Schepers-Straße has now been completed after a 5-month construction period.
A section of the Werseradweg and the 100-Schlösser Route in the area of the motorway subway was reopened. The cycle path had been renovated and straightened in order to improve visibility.
On Tuesday, District Administrator Dr. Olaf Gericke and Mayor Michael Gerdhenrich officially opened the new cycle path along the K24 south-east of Beckum together with the district planning department head Dr. Herbert Bleicher.
