New location due to refurbishment

Das Freizeithaus Neubeckum wird derzeit umfassend modernisiert und barrierefrei umgebaut. Die verschiedenen Teile werden stärker als bisher verzahnt. Daher ist das Stadtteilzentrum an der Gottfried-Polysius-Straße 6 seit Mitte Januar für die Zeit des Umbaus geschlossen.

We are now in the building on the other side of the street, still Gottfried-Polysius-Straße, now house number 5 - the former DRK home.

  • 3D-Drucker-Club

    Gemeinsame Projekte und fachlicher Austausch. Der 3D-Drucker Club mit Ralf Hobmeier trifft sich zweiwöchentlich an Dienstagen in geraden Kalenderwochen von 17:00 bis 19:00 Uhr. Interessierte sind jederzeit willkommen.

  • Marktcafé - A really good breakfast

    Market café on Fridays from 9 a.m.

    In the spirit of neighbourliness, sustainability and solidarity, the hall of the town hall on the market square is available for people of all ages. Coffee, hot chocolate or tea and delicious waffles are available, as well as fresh bread rolls and eggs. The whole event is organised in cooperation with the Neubeckum leisure centre support association. Linger together, chat, play cards and board games together or find someone to help with the shopping - it's neighbourhood in action.

    Lunch on Tuesdays from 12 noon

    Dienstags nicht selbst kochen und auch kein Imbiss auf die Hand, sondern in Gemeinschaft essen. Im Freizeithaus Neubeckum gibt ein leckeres und warmes Tellergericht zu einem unschlagbar günstigen Preis.

  • Sewing Studio

    Sewing studio Mondays from 16:30

    The sewing studio is open weekly on Mondays from 16:30 to 20:30. Children aged 8 to 14 sew in the even calendar weeks, people aged 14 and over and adults in the odd calendar weeks. With your own sewing machine, you can make great things under the expert guidance of Andrea Böhm. Whether you're a beginner or an advanced sewer, whether you're a freelance sewer or have your own project - everyone is welcome here.

  • Seniorentanz

    FZH dance groups

    On Wednesdays from 17:00 to 18:00, senior citizens dance in the dance room of the Neubeckum leisure centre under the direction of Maria Tieu.

  • Senior citizens' meeting

    A cosy get-together with coffee, tea, cake and cake galore. With changing themed afternoons, usually every month on the first Saturday from 14:00 to 17:00. Please refer to the annual programme for the exact dates.

  • Yoga und Meditation

    Kundalini Yoga Fridays from 17:30

    Meditation, Mantra, Entspannung und Wohlbefinden in der Gruppe am Freitagabend in der Tradition des Kundalini Yoga von 17:30 bis 19:00 Uhr.

  • Neubeckum Leisure Centre since 1973

    A lot has happened in the last 50 years since 1973. The original youth centre has become a children's and youth centre and, since 2021, a district centre with a focus on children and youth work.

    The Neubeckum leisure centre is currently undergoing extensive modernisation and barrier-free conversion. The various parts will be more closely interlinked than before. As a result, the district centre at Gottfried-Polysius-Straße 6 has been closed since mid-January for probably a year.
