Public holidays in May: waste collection is postponed

Due to the May bank holiday, the collection of residual waste and yellow bins will be postponed by one day from 1 May. Collection in the Friday district will therefore take place on Saturday, 4 May.

In the following week, the collection of organic waste and paper bins will be postponed by one day from 9 May due to the Ascension Day holiday. Collection in Roland and Vellern will take place on Saturday, 11 May.

Waste disposal - a clean business

The collection of residual waste, organic waste and paper containers is divided into five collection districts. You can find your district in the environmental calendar in the street directory.

Residual waste collection (bins with grey lids, 80 l, 120 l or 240 l) takes place fortnightly in the odd-numbered calendar weeks. Organic waste is collected in the bins with brown lids (120 l or 240 l). The bins are emptied every 14 days in the even calendar weeks.

Paper is collected in the 240-litre containers with blue lids. The collection takes place 4-weekly with every second organic waste collection.
