Dechant-Schepers-Straße

Last construction phase in the Pflaumenallee-Ost development area completed

This means that the last of 5 construction phases in the Pflaumenallee development area has now been completed. This final section is home to 24 detached houses and the Zwergenhaus daycare centre, whose children had made special preparations for this day: a ribbon several metres long with self-designed colourful pennants was made to celebrate the inauguration of Dechant-Schepers-Straße.

On this occasion, Mayor Michael Gerdhenrich thanked the planning office Gnegel, the construction company Stratief and the colleagues who had been involved in the project: "I am very pleased that this last section of road is now being inaugurated."

The final construction was carried out in a similar way to the measures already carried out in the Pflaumenallee-Ost construction area. In this section, individual 1 metre wide planting strips were also installed on the southern side of the road. The planting is to take place in January - 12 iron trees and 6 columnar hornbeams are planned, as well as spirea bushes, cranesbill and some lavender. The estimated cost of the entire project is around 700,000 euros.
