Athlete of the year award
Every year, the town of Beckum, together with the Sparkasse Münsterland Ost and the Stadtsportverband Beckum e. V., honours the outstanding achievements of the town's sportswomen and sportsmen.
Athletes honoured for their achievements in 2024
The athlete of the year award ceremony for 2024 was dominated by Ultimate Frisbee. Benjamin Steinhoff was named "Sportsman of the Year" after winning the European Championship title with his U17 Ultimate Frisbee team from TV Beckum 1892 e. V. The "Team of the Year 2024" title was shared by the U14 and U20 Ultimate Frisbee teams from TV Beckum 1892 e. V.
