City cycling 2026

Cycle along, collect kilometres and, with a bit of luck, win

As part of the district-wide "City Cycling" campaign, all Beckum residents, employees of companies and organisations, members of associations and local parliaments or schoolchildren can pedal together to achieve as many kilometres by bike as possible.

Register now...

Anyone who has not yet registered can do so at www.stadtradeln.de/beckum or in the city cycling app. Participants can either join a team (at least 2 people) or set up a new one. For example, school classes, sports clubs, families or groups of friends can join forces and collect kilometres together. The kilometres cycled contribute to the overall score for Beckum and the district of Warendorf.

... and take part in the prize draw

All active participants from Beckum are automatically entered into the prize draw as part of the city cycling programme. Energieversorgung Beckum, Sparkasse Münsterland-Ost, Euronics Pelkmann, Beckumer Fahrradlager and the town of Beckum are providing attractive prizes. The cyclists can look forward to city vouchers, bicycle bags, inspection vouchers or merchandise articles from the city of Beckum with a total value of over 700 euros.

"We would like to thank all the sponsors who have been supporting us with this campaign for years and donating the fantastic prizes. This creates a further incentive for cycling and for taking part in the city cycling event," say the coordinators of the city of Beckum, Denise Grünebaum and Lena Herzog, and hope to see many enthusiastic cyclists. "This year, it is very important to us that as many everyday journeys as possible are made by bike. Because once you start, you often discover new routines and perspectives for sustainable mobility."

Rallies to kick things off

A special highlight of the campaign is the planned rally to Ennigerloh to kick things off on 9 May. All citizens are invited to pedal together from various starting points to a central destination. Participation is expressly low-threshold: whether as a family, with friends, in a club or alone - anyone can take part and collect their first kilometres for their own team. The group from Beckum will meet at 10:15 a.m. in the town hall car park. Please register by 6 May at gruenebaum@beckum.de or herzog@beckum.de.
