During routine tree inspections, large wounds were discovered on the trunks of two birch trees near the Jewish memorial stones in Westpark; these are now developing into areas of rot and could lead to the trunks breaking.
A total of 120 new plum trees are currently being planted along what is known as Pflaumenallee. This will replace old, damaged trees and fill in existing gaps.
