Die GlasfaserPlus, ein Joint Venture zwischen der Deutschen Telekom und dem Investor IFM Global Infrastructure Fund Investors, wird zwischen November 2026 und März 2027 eigenwirtschaftlich das Gebiet nördlich der Bahn in Neubeckum mit Glasfaser erschließen.

Die Wohngeldstelle, die Mitarbeitenden im Bereich der Wohnbauförderung und die Bauordnung der Stadt Beckum haben ab dem 17. August neue Servicezeiten.

Aufgrund der anhaltenden Trockenheit und der aktuell hohen Vegetationsbrandgefahr untersagt die Stadt Beckum bis auf Weiteres das Grillen sowie das Entzünden und Betreiben von offenem Feuer im Aktivpark Phoenix. Die Stadtverwaltung macht hierzu von ihrem Hausrecht Gebrauch.

Für die Schulanfänger rückt der mit Spannung erwartete erste Schultag immer näher. Der Fachdienst Schule und Sport teilt hier noch einmal die besonderen Einschulungstermine für die Schulanfänger am Donnerstag, den 3. September mit.

Der Sudhoferweg wird von Montag, 17. August, bis Freitag, 4. September, zwischen dem Klapperweg und der Einfahrt der Firma Blumenbecker voll gesperrt. Grund sind Kabelverlegungsarbeiten durch die Energieversorgung Beckum.

Ab Montag, 10. August führt die Autobahn GmbH Arbeiten an der Autobahnbrücke der A2 in Höhe der Anschlussstelle Beckum durch.

Vom 31. Juli bis 3. August reiste eine kleine Delegation aus Beckum in die Partnerstadt Heringsdorf auf Usedom. Die Begegnung stand ganz im Zeichen des persönlichen Austauschs und der gelebten Städtepartnerschaft.

Die Stadt Beckum beginnt am Donnerstag, 6. August mit der Sanierung der Verkehrsflächen im Kreuzungsbereich Bahnhofstraße, der Ennigerloher Straße und der Hauptstraße in Neubeckum.
