Neubeckum town centre management team concludes successful campaign

Until then, however, Annika Siebert and Serena Große-Kreul will remain available and will continue to oversee the projects currently underway.

Over the past few years, the two of them, together with many dedicated individuals, have been able to carry out numerous projects in Neubeckum. The discretionary fund has been used to support and bring to fruition many ideas from the local community. The courtyard and façade programme has also been utilised extensively, with the allocated funds almost entirely exhausted. Now, as planned, the hourly budget for the town centre management scheme is also coming to an end.

“We look back on our time together in Neubeckum with great pleasure. Many wonderful projects have come to fruition and, above all, we’ve brought together a lot of committed people who are actively helping to shape their town centre,” the pair conclude.

However, the work is not quite finished yet: until the end of May, the team will continue to be on site on Thursdays from 10 am to 3 pm at the ‘Stadtteilwohnzimmer’ on Hauptstraße. The last regular on-site sessions will take place on 21 and 28 May. In addition, the town centre management team will remain available until mid-July and will continue to support ongoing projects – in particular the Neubeckum Trade Association’s extension of the ‘Winterlicht’ lighting display.

There will continue to be opportunities to put your own ideas for Neubeckum into practice: funds are still available in the discretionary fund. Projects can still receive funding of up to 50 per cent. Helga Grothues will once again be the point of contact at Beckum Town Council for matters relating to the town centre.

To round things off, the Neubeckum Town Centre Management Team would like to extend a warm invitation to a final networking event. This will take place on 25 June between 10 am and 1 pm. Anyone interested is welcome to drop in at any time to look back on the year together, exchange ideas and strike up a conversation over some snacks.
