End of season at Beckum outdoor pool - indoor pool season starts

36,000th outdoor pool visitor is surprised with a season ticket

Hanna Brinkmann from Beckum was quite astonished. She was welcomed as the 36,000th visitor to the outdoor pool on Dalmerweg with a bouquet of flowers.

The outdoor pool team also presented the regular swimmer with a voucher for a season ticket. She will certainly be able to make good use of it as a regular at the outdoor pool.

This was the outdoor pool season in Beckum: the doors opened on 17 May and the season will end on 14 September. The busiest day was 2 July - 1,910 bathers took advantage of the summer weather to jump into the cool water. Thanks to the support of the Wiedeking Foundation, children and young people were able to visit the outdoor pool free of charge during the summer holidays - this offer was used a total of 3,057 times.

A varied programme of events was offered to mark the 65th anniversary of Beckum's outdoor pool. In addition to the outdoor pool festival organised by the Förderverein Beckumer Schwimmbäder e. V., the summer pool party, the Volksbank Beckum-Lippstadt family festival and the evening swim provided special moments and a festive atmosphere.

Indoor pool season starts on 15 September

With the end of the Beckum outdoor pool season, the indoor pool season starts on 15 September. The opening times are the same as last year. This season is expected to end at the start of the Easter holidays, as renovation work is due to be carried out. Due to the shortened indoor pool season, the prices for season tickets have been reduced and the expiry date for annual and ten-person tickets will be extended accordingly by the administration.

Season tickets are available at baedershop.beckum.de and at the outdoor pool ticket offices until 14 September and at the indoor pool ticket office from 15 September. On the opening day, the ticket office is also staffed from 06:15 to 09:30.

Fitness fans take note: Aquaswimming starts after the autumn holidays, i.e. for the first time on 29 October, and takes place every Wednesday at 19:30 outside the holidays. Registration is not necessary.
