Workshop for sports clubs was well received

What is sexualised and interpersonal violence? How can clubs take precautions and intervene? This and more was discussed at an awareness-raising workshop organised by the city of Beckum and the city sports association.

Workshop in the auditorium of the Antoniusschule

In the auditorium of the Antoniusschule, speaker Inga Teckentrup from the district sports association provided information on various forms of prevention as well as contact points for counselling and support. She also presented approaches for developing prevention and intervention measures as part of the club's own child protection concept.

More than 20 volunteers from Beckum's sports clubs accepted the invitation to the workshop. Due to the high level of interest, it is planned to organise the event regularly in future.
