Fraudulent debt collection letter in circulation

The town of Beckum is currently warning of a new scam: an alleged debt collection company is sending out emails in which it claims to be collecting parking fees on behalf of the town. This claim is false - no such order was ever issued.

The town of Beckum does not work with private collection service providers to enforce fines for parking offences.

Citizens are therefore urged to ignore such emails and not to make any payments or disclose any personal data. The debt collection company concerned also expressly states on its website that it is not connected with these phishing attempts.
