Shared use of a waste container
Performance specification
The shared use of a waste container can be approved if the following conditions are met:
- A residual waste or organic waste container must be shared with a direct neighbour
- The container volume must not be less than 10 litres per person per week.
Example:
A total of four people use one 80 litre residual waste container. This is emptied fortnightly.
80 litres : 2 weeks = 40 litres/week : 4 people = 10 litres/week.
Would you like to apply for shared use of a waste container? You can print out the application form below. The application must be completed and signed by the taxpayer, i.e. the person who will pay the waste charges in future, and the co-user. In the case of a rented flat, this applies to the landlord/landlady. You submit this application to the Environment and Greenery Department for processing. A clerk will contact you by telephone to discuss the collection or exchange of a waste container.Legal bases (general)
