After specifying the items to be collected, you will be informed of the collection date. The waste must be placed at the place of regular container collection at the earliest on the evening before the announced collection date, but no later than 7:00 a.m. on the respective collection day, in such a way that passers-by and road traffic are not endangered or significantly obstructed. Tree discs must be kept free of waste.

Here are some important notes:

• The collection does not include fluorescent lamps or similar items, as these may be destroyed and thus pose a risk to public safety and order,
• The collection does not only include registered small appliances! For economic reasons, these can only be collected in conjunction with large appliances.

 
As an alternative to collection, you can also hand in all old electrical appliances and metals free of charge at the Beckum recycling centre, Auf dem Tigge 34.
In particular, smaller discarded electrical appliances, such as toasters, coffee machines, electric toys etc., which are not collected, should be taken to the recycling centre. You can also hand in used or discarded fluorescent tubes here free of charge.

Opening hours of the recycling centre:

• Mondays to Fridays 8:00 - 17:00
• Saturdays 8:00 - 13:00

Waste electrical and electronic equipment can also be handed in free of charge when purchasing a corresponding new item in shops with a sales area for electrical and electronic equipment of at least 400 square metres and in grocery shops with a sales area of at least 800 square metres that sell electrical and electronic equipment several times a year or on a permanent basis. It is also possible to hand in up to three small old electrical appliances (edge length up to 25 centimetres) without purchasing a new item and also for products that were not previously purchased in this shop or the same chain.
