Child maintenance

  • Performance specification

As part of a guardianship set up at the Social Welfare and Youth Welfare Office, the guardians calculate and certify the child's maintenance claim and, if necessary, assert it in court.
The guardians enforce the child's maintenance claim, including taking the necessary coercive measures and, if necessary, filing criminal charges in the event of a breach of the maintenance obligation.
The guardianship ends when the child reaches the age of 18. However, the social welfare and youth welfare office can advise and support young adults up to the age of 21 in matters of maintenance.
