    A few important notes first!

    • Indivisible, bulky waste should only be so heavy that it can be loaded by two people,
    • bulky waste that cannot be loaded safely or could damage the disposal vehicle, such as flat glass and mirrors, will not be collected,
    • Waste wood must be provided separately from other bulky waste,
    • Waste that is not included in the bulky waste collection will not be taken away.

    What belongs to bulky waste?
    Bulky waste only includes bulky waste from homes and other parts of the residential property that cannot be disposed of in the authorised waste containers due to its size or weight. This includes, for example, furniture, upholstered furniture, cupboards, shelves, bed frames, slatted frames, mattresses, individual carpets (not fitted carpets), crates, suitcases, lights, bulky items made of wood or plastic, etc.

    Bulky waste does not include

    • Waste from commercial enterprises, service companies or medical practices
    • Motor vehicles, motor vehicle parts
    • Building elements, components (windows, doors, wall or ceiling panelling, floor coverings, washbasins, toilet bowls)
    • Fences, garden sheds
    • Building rubble (stones, tiles, mortar, plaster, etc.)
    • Window and door glass
    • Bulky green waste, tree and shrub cuttings
    • Lightweight packaging
    • Recyclable materials (hollow glass, paper, cardboard)
    • Residual waste and containers filled with residual waste, such as bags, boxes and cartons
    • Waste containing hazardous substances, such as containers with paint residues, night storage heaters, fluorescent tubes, batteries

    Please note!
    As an alternative to collection, you can also hand in bulky waste at the Beckum recycling centre, Auf dem Tigge 34, for a fee.
    Furniture, household goods, books, etc. that are in good condition and still suitable for use can be reused or recycled via the Horizonte second-hand goods warehouse in Ennigerloh (Tel.: 02524 9339-0). Clothing and shoes in good condition should be given to the charitable organisations.

    Bulky waste must be placed at the place of regular container collection at the earliest on the evening before the announced collection, but no later than 7:00 a.m. on the respective collection day, in such a way that passers-by and road traffic are not endangered or significantly obstructed. Tree discs must be kept free of bulky waste.

  • Costs

    There are no separate charges for the collection of bulky waste. The costs for this collection are already included in the waste charges.
