Stopping and parking offences
Performance specification
In the case of minor traffic offences, the town of Beckum, as the competent authority, can issue warnings. An offence is minor if it is punishable by a fine of between EUR 10 and EUR 35 according to the currently valid catalogue of fines.
The amounts specified there by the responsible federal minister are rigid standard rates that are not at the discretion of the enforcement officers.
The aim of a warning is to avoid the need for formal and therefore also time-consuming and expensive fine proceedings. It is intended to ensure that the person concerned observes the traffic regulations more carefully in future.
However, co-operation is a prerequisite insofar as the warning only becomes effective once the fine has been transferred as intended.
