Sunflower Festival at the Neubeckum Leisure Centre

The Sunflower Festival has taken place every year since 2006 on the last Saturday in August. The festival is mainly organised by the Freizeithaus Neubeckum (Neubeckum Leisure Centre) and is jointly organised with a steadily growing group of organisers.
The aim of the festival is to present the participating institutions and organisations to the citizens and to offer an attractive programme for the visitors. In addition, the organisers' basic idea is to organise a family-friendly festival that appeals to all citizens and to enable families with a low income to participate in social and cultural life.
The range of events and the circle of organisers have grown increasingly in recent years and the festival is now also established in the Neubeckum calendar of events. All offers are organised exclusively by non-commercial providers and mainly on a voluntary basis.
The programme includes various performances on the municipal stage as well as a flea market for private sellers and a children's flea market. Various children's attractions will also offer the little ones varied activities and great opportunities for discovery. Food will also be provided with drinks and various international specialities. The focus will be on offering culinary delights at fair prices. The proceeds from the individual vendors will be used to finance further social and cultural activities on the part of the associations.
