Driving licence - renewal of category C and CE

  • Performance specification

The validity of HGV driving licences is limited in time. The following driving licence categories must therefore be renewed either five years after issue or after reaching the age of 50: C, CE, C1, C1E and the CE79 driving licence requirement.

The new EU driving licences with these categories expire at the age of 50, but can be extended for five years at a time.

The renewal application should be submitted in person in good time before the deadline - about four weeks in advance.
