Counselling for young people with disabilities

    The procedure pilot advises, accompanies and supports young people with (potential) disabilities and their parents in the city of Beckum. The counselling provided by the procedure guide is a voluntary, free and confidential service.

    The offer includes

    • Support in applying for integration assistance
    • Advice on possible services
    • Counselling on the life situation and the specific concern
    • Assistance with applications
    • Referral to counselling and support services

    All discussions are voluntary and will be treated confidentially.

    Personal consultations take place by prior telephone or written appointment and can take place at your home or on the premises of the City of Beckum.

    § 10b Verfahrenslotse

    (1) Young people who claim integration assistance benefits due to a disability or imminent disability or who are eligible for such benefits, as well as their mothers, fathers, guardians and legal guardians, are entitled to support and assistance from a procedural guide when applying for, pursuing and exercising these benefits. The purpose of the procedure guide is to provide independent support to beneficiaries in realising claims to integration assistance benefits and to work towards the assertion of rights. This service is provided by the local youth welfare organisation.

    (2) The process pilot shall support the local public youth welfare organisation in bringing together the integration assistance services for young people under its responsibility. To this end, he/she shall report to the local public youth welfare organisation every six months, in particular on experiences of structural cooperation with other agencies and public institutions, in particular with other rehabilitation providers.
