Jahnstadion is being renovated

Renovation work at the Jahnstadion will begin next week with the removal of the existing artificial turf.

  • The ageing artificial turf in the Jahnstadion is being renewed.

New artificial turf will then be laid and backfilled. In addition, the running track will be renovated and the run-up track for the javelin throw will be realigned to extend the throwing track. Sports equipment will be dismantled at the end of this week so that the renovation can begin on time.

Due to the work, the entire sports facility will be closed to the public from 1 May to the end of July. The clubs using the facility have already been informed of the closure.
