Remodelling of the Neubeckum public library has begun

Now that the roof has been renovated, the old floors have been removed from the entire part of the library building. Refurbishment has already begun in the basement. The toilet facilities there are being completely renovated. In addition, a spacious meeting room, a creative room for the activities of the Friends' Association and a social room are being modernised and redesigned.

The refurbishment work and refurnishing of the public library is scheduled for completion in early 2026. The modernised building will become an inviting meeting place for people of all ages and social classes, a place of exchange and a centre for communication and learning in Neubeckum.

A special focus is placed on playful learning with digital elements: Robotics, gaming and creative experimentation with a 3D printer are to be made tangible and tangible. At the same time, the classic book will also be showcased and appropriately honoured.

The city of Beckum will continue to report regularly on the progress of construction work.
