Digital coffee break

Active pension: Focus on skilled labour potential

Demographic change and the increasing shortage of skilled labour are presenting companies with growing challenges. At the same time, the legislator is creating new incentives with the so-called active pension to make working beyond the statutory retirement age more attractive. The opportunities this presents for companies will be the focus of a digital coffee break on 24 February from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m., to which the cities of Ahlen, Beckum and Ennigerloh are jointly inviting you.

André Schleiter from the Bertelsmann Stiftung will provide the technical impetus. In his 20-minute presentation, he will give a concise overview of the legal framework for active pensions and show how this instrument can be used specifically to secure skilled labour. This will be followed by an opportunity for dialogue and discussion.

The compact digital format is aimed in particular at companies, HR managers and other interested parties from the region who want to find out about current labour market policy developments and gain impetus for their strategic HR work.

"It is important to utilise all available potential, especially in light of the increasing shortage of skilled workers," emphasises Manuela Jakobs-Woltering, Business Development Manager in Beckum. "The active pension scheme opens up new opportunities for companies to retain experienced skilled workers for longer and keep their knowledge in the company. With the digital coffee break, we want to inform companies at an early stage and provide concrete impulses for practice."
