Future schoolchildren from the "Katharina von Bora" daycare centre visit the mayor

Town hall visit provides many insights

In the citizens' office, the children learnt what they need a passport for and where they can get one. Afterwards, they went to the festively decorated wedding room, where they learnt about the process of a marriage.

The highlight was the mayor's visit to his office. The children surprised the head of administration with a whole bundle of curious questions - lovingly designed on colourfully pasted and painted pictures.

Children at the mayor's desk
The children from the "Katharina von Bora" day care centre also made a stop at Mayor Michael Gerdhenrich's house.

"What does a mayor do all day?", "What is his favourite ice cream?" and "What hobbies does he have?": The young guests wanted to know exactly. Mayor Michael Gerdhenrich didn't fail to give them any answers and showed the children his office.

In addition to exciting insights into the mayor's office, the girls and boys also learnt a lot about the city administration. With many new impressions and beaming faces, the pre-school children finally made their way back - an excursion that they will certainly remember for a long time to come.
