Championship title secured

Michael Gerdhenrich congratulates successful handball B youth team

After years of intensive training, the female B youth team from TV Beckum and coach Elmar Burda secured the championship title in the handball district league.

In their home game against HSG Schwerte-Westhofen two weeks ago , the players clinched the title with a clear 29:4 victory. Mayor Michael Gerdhenrich watched the game and was one of the first to congratulate the team. With the end of the season last weekend, the championship title is now officially confirmed.

The joy of winning the title is already mixed with anticipation for the summer: a special highlight for the youngsters aged 15 and 16 every year is taking part in the beach handball tournament in Warnemünde. In addition to regular training, the team regularly organises leisure activities such as canoeing and cycling tours, archery and assertiveness training together with their coach.
