New rules for the volunteer card
Applicants must also have been carrying out their voluntary work for at least 2 years. An expense allowance is not an obstacle as long as it does not exceed the annual tax-free allowance. This is 960 euros for the lump sum for voluntary work and 3,300 euros for the lump sum for training managers.
The application forms are available under Volunteering. The easiest way to apply is via the "Volunteer Card App". If you work the required four hours per week in several organisations, you should complete a separate application for each activity and submit the documents together.
Holders of the volunteer card receive numerous discounts - for example on admission to museums or offers from local partners.
