Snow and rain don't dampen the mood

Rose Monday parade celebrated enthusiastically

After the Beckum municipal services had cleared the last of the slush from the route and the final safety precautions had been taken, the carnival procession set off almost punctually at around 11.20 am. The procession set off from Sternstraße for the first time and then wound its way through the city centre along the familiar 10.5-kilometre route. The colourfully decorated floats, plenty of sweets and the music from the bands created an exuberant atmosphere for around 13,000 jesters.

Neither hail nor rain could dampen the party mood - the sun even made an appearance from time to time. The police and public order office drew a positive conclusion: there were no incidents worth mentioning and the security concept was a complete success.
