New special exhibition in the city museum
Swirling particles and colourful moon phases

Herbert Pörtner's works lead a life of their own: Packaging material swirls through the room in ever-changing colours, a cleverly devised clock slows things down, paper pyramids and moon phases play with the light, seed umbrellas float as if on a cloud. Everything is in a constant state of flux. The Bielefeld artist plays with the effect of slowness, sometimes strikingly, sometimes discreetly, and never ceases to amaze the viewer.

Pörtner combines sophisticated electronically controlled lighting effects and the finest mechanics. His light objects thus become a poetic unity that radiates meditative calm and fascinates.
The exhibition opening will take place on Friday, 16 January at 6:30 pm as part of the museum association's New Year's reception.
