The U12 juniors were visited at training: Mayor Michael Gerdhenrich congratulated them on their cup success in Kaiserau and trained with them.

The successful players in the U12 district squad at the DFB training centre in Beckum were quite surprised during their last training session: Mayor Michael Gerdhenrich turned up on the indoor football pitch at the vocational college, dressed in his sports kit, to have a kickabout and join in the training.

The head of administration, himself a former keen footballer, congratulated the boys and their coach, Christian Wille, on their impressive cup victory in Kaiserau and, whilst he was at it, showed off what he can still do with the ball. The U12 juniors from the DFB training centre in Beckum had taken first place at the ARAG Cup on 10 January in Kaiserau – a district of Kamen.
