Start of construction on the Oppelner Straße playground

A lot has been happening at the Oppelner Straße playground this week: the preparatory work that has been started lays the foundation for new play equipment, which will primarily benefit the younger children. A special swing is being built for older children.

  • At the playground on Oppelner Straße, the excavator is currently shovelling and clearing the way for new adventures.

The swing, which can accommodate several children at once, is used standing up, combines the typical swinging motion with a rotation around its own axis and can be controlled in terms of movement and speed using a steering wheel.

The large play combination is expected to be installed at the end of January. As soon as the foundations have dried out and the fall protection areas have been filled in, the playground will be reopened to everyone. The exact date of the reopening will be announced in good time.
