The last Council meeting of this electoral term was characterised by mutual thanks for the constructive cooperation.

  • The current council began its work during the coronavirus pandemic in 2020. The photo shows the Beckum City Council on the evening of the constituent meeting in the auditorium of the vocational college.

Yesterday's council meeting was the last for Mayor Michael Gerdhenrich in his current term of office and the last joint meeting for the current council members before the new council is constituted on 6 November.

Under the agenda item "Report from the administration", Gerdhenrich thanked the incumbent council for their fair dealings and the constant struggle for the best solution for the benefit of the people of Beckum. This thanks was echoed by individual parliamentary groups.

Among other things, it dealt with the 2024 investment report - presented by City Treasurer Thomas Wulf. These and other items on the agenda can be found in the Council information system.
