Podcast "Rainbow Consultation Hour"
A greater voice for queer issues
With her new podcast "Regenbogen-Sprechstunde", Nele Sypitzki creates space for personal stories, expert knowledge and diverse perspectives. Guests are invited to talk openly about their experiences and make queer topics tangible.
More reach for supposedly taboo topics
The 21-year-old social work student founded the rainbow group three years ago and has been running her own Instagram channel since 2023. As a contact person for young people on all aspects of sexual orientation, coming out and gender-appropriate language, she also attends events on a voluntary basis. "With the podcast, I want to achieve more reach and remove taboos from supposedly taboo topics," she explains.
Encouraging stories and interesting facts
The episodes are published without a fixed rhythm - "they go online as soon as they are ready," says Nele. While the committed young woman wants to appeal to young people in particular with the format, guests of all ages are welcome. Each episode is dedicated to a different focus: stories of courage, inclusive language, queer education, religiosity or dealing with right-wing hate speech. The topics arise from what the contributors have to say. Nele is happy to receive suggestions and ideas via Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/regenbogengruppe_fzh_/

Noticeable need for new format
Since the new podcast was first announced, the Instagram channel has seen a sharp rise in the number of hits - a clear sign of the demand for such a format, which is unique in the region to date. The podcast is available wherever podcasts are available. The first episode is planned for the end of November.
Nele receives technical support from Freizeithaus Neubeckum. She can also conduct the interviews outside the centre on request. Get in touch now and promote your own topic!
