Theatre play for pupils
Peace - how does it work?
The Sonni Maier touring theatre company, which specialises in socially relevant topics for young people, gave a guest performance at the Albertus Magnus Grammar School and presented a varied performance on the topic of "Propaganda and its consequences".
Using various creative methods - including short theatre scenes, video clips, short presentations and reinterpreted pop songs - the young people were given an impressive insight into how propaganda works and the impact it can have.
The pupils then worked with the ensemble to develop solutions for peaceful coexistence. Both global conflicts and everyday situations from the young people's lives were addressed and discussed. The event offered the participants an exciting and thought-provoking experience that sharpened their awareness of social interrelationships.
The project was initiated and financed by the municipal youth welfare office and the equal opportunities office in cooperation with the secondary schools in Beckum.
