Regional delights at Christmas time too
Picnic boxes promise wintry culinary delights
As part of the "Picknick³" project organised by Münsterland e. V., Münsterland is being marketed as a picnic region. Among other things, high-quality picnic boxes put regional products centre stage. The project aims to make the diversity and quality of regional food more visible, promote sustainable enjoyment and strengthen cooperation between producers, social organisations and local authorities. The picnic boxes were also introduced in Beckum in the summer. Now there is a winter edition.
The packed box is currently available for 47 euros and contains shortbread biscuits from Hof Plümpe, a pumpkin soup from Hof Kampmann, salami from Hof Becker vor der Sandfort, edamame snack cream from Hof Sprenker, blackberry jam from Brede Alpakas, country pasta from Ankis Hühnerglück as well as the picnic box and a red pit towel.
"We have adapted the products to suit the season. This means the box is also suitable as an original gift for Christmas if a last-minute present is needed," says Elisabeth Sprenker from the organisation team. "The contents of the box can also be supplemented with products from "BE-lebt" to meet individual needs," continues Sprenker. For those interested, a ready-packed picnic box is available for viewing at BE-lebt.
Regional quality meets loving craftsmanship
The picnic boxes are produced by the Alexians in Münster and contain carefully selected regional specialities. For the people of Beckum, it becomes a gift basket full of high-quality products that is perfect both as a gift and for your own enjoyment.
"It's great how well the boxes have been received since the summer. This clearly shows how much value the people of Beckum place on regionality and sustainable enjoyment," says Nadine Richter from Beckum's city marketing department.
