Housing needs analysis - 70 new flats per year
According to a housing needs analysis, 70 flats per year must be built in Beckum to meet the demand until 2035. The expert office Stadt- und Regionaplanung Dr. Jansen GmbH had presented the report at the end of 2017. The council of the city of Beckum has adopted the work order as a political guiding target. The administration is now examining how these targets can be implemented and what concrete measures can follow from them.
While the population figures in Beckum fell continuously from 2003 to 2013 (31.12.2013: 35,909), an increase has been recorded again since 2014. Against this background, the development of residential building land is necessary, among other things. Redensification should also not be neglected in this context.
