European Mobility Week 2026

From 16 to 22 September, it’s that time of year again: European Mobility Week (EMW) invites the whole of Europe to rethink the way we get around and try out climate-friendly alternatives. We’re taking part this year!

What is the EMW all about?

The European Commission’s campaign takes place every year and aims to show that sustainable mobility is possible, enjoyable and can be put into practice. This year’s Europe-wide theme is ‘Mobility for all generations’. The aim is to think across generations and to design our transport networks in such a way that children, families and older people can get from A to B safely and independently.

Why are we taking part?

The mobility transition is a joint endeavour. Whether by bike, on foot or by public transport – climate-friendly travel not only protects our climate but also improves the quality of life in our region. We want to set an example for safe, accessible and healthy mobility in Beckum-Neubeckum.
