Drinking water protection

The town of Beckum is actively involved in environmental education in schools. The aim of the initiative is to familiarise pupils with the importance of clean drinking water and to raise awareness of the responsible use of this valuable resource.

As part of the project, children from five primary schools in Beckum discover in a vivid and practical way where our drinking water comes from, how it is treated and why its protection is so important. With interactive learning opportunities, the campaign not only promotes knowledge, but also sustainable thinking and action in everyday life.

"Lernerlebnis Trinkwasser" thus makes an important contribution to environmental education and strengthens the young generation's sense of responsibility for our natural resources.

This campaign is jointly initiated by the town of Beckum, Energieversorgung Beckum and Sparkasse Münsterland Ost.
