New location due to refurbishment

The Neubeckum leisure centre is currently undergoing extensive modernisation and barrier-free conversion. The various parts will be more closely interlinked than before. As a result, the district centre at Gottfried-Polysius-Straße 6 has been closed since mid-January for probably a year.

We are now in the building on the other side of the street, still Gottfried-Polysius-Straße, now house number 5 - the former DRK home.

Whether lunch, sewing studio, Kundalini yoga, gaming, art studio or 3D printer club: the replacement rooms leave hardly anything to be desired, the route remains almost the same for all user groups and the ground floor is barrier-free.

The usual leisure activities now have a home again and can continue. The market café and dance programmes had already moved to other rooms after the closure in January and were able to continue without a break. Now almost all the other meetings are possible again. We can be reached at the usual times at Gottfried-Polysius-Straße 5 and on the previous telephone number 02521 29-5220.

Kundalini Yoga

Meditation, mantra, relaxation and well-being in a group on Friday evenings from 17:30 to 19:00.

Marktcafé - A really good breakfast

In the spirit of neighbourliness, sustainability and solidarity, the hall of the town hall on the market square is available for people of all ages. Coffee, hot chocolate or tea and delicious waffles are available, as well as fresh bread rolls and eggs. The whole event is organised in cooperation with the Neubeckum leisure centre support association. Linger together, chat, play cards and board games together or find someone to help with the shopping - it's neighbourhood in action.

Lunch - Eating together

On Tuesdays you don't have to cook for yourself and you don't have to eat a snack on the go. At the leisure centre in Neubeckum, you can enjoy a delicious, warm dish at an unbeatable price.

Sewing Studio

Wöchentlich am Montag 16:30 bis 20:30 Uhr ist das Näh-Studio geöffnet. Kinder von 8 bis 14 Jahren nähen in den geraden Kalenderwochen, Menschen ab 14 Jahren und Erwachsene in den ungeraden Kalenderwochen. Mit der eigenen Nähmaschine können unter der fachkundigen Anleitung von Andrea Böhm tolle Sachen hergestellt werden. Ob Neuling oder Fortgeschritten, freies Schneidern oder ein eigenes Projekt – hier sind alle willkommen.

Senior citizens' meeting

A cosy get-together with coffee, tea, cake and cake galore. With changing themed afternoons, usually every month on the first Saturday from 14:00 to 17:00. Please refer to the annual programme for the exact dates.

Senior dance group

On Wednesdays from 17:00 to 18:00, senior citizens dance in the dance room of the Neubeckum leisure centre under the direction of Maria Tieu.
