More whisky walks

When the new city tour programme kicks off this coming Saturday, 30 May, with whisky expert and storyteller Philipp from Whisky84Grad hosting two events, both of these tours are already fully booked, as is the session on 4 October. There are just a few places left for the “Whisky Walk” on Sunday 6 December.

In consultation with the tour organiser, two additional dates are therefore being offered, both on Saturday 12 September. The first tour will take place from 2 pm to 5 pm, whilst the second tour is scheduled for 7 pm to 10 pm.

For over 14 years, Philipp from Whisky84Grad has been hosting whisky tastings throughout Germany and is renowned for his unique way of bringing whisky to life. The ‘Whisky Walk’ is a blend of exercise, indulgence and authentic moments. During a leisurely stroll through the city, participants sample six selected Scottish whiskies – some smooth and fruity, others smoky and full-bodied. Every dram is more than just a drink: it’s the start of a story. Because that’s exactly what it’s all about: not technical terms or complicated analyses, but what happens when people come together, share a glass and forget about everyday life for a moment.

The tour in Beckum starts and ends in front of St Stephan’s Church. During the approximately four-kilometre walk through Beckum, participants can look forward to a total of six Scottish whiskies, each measuring two centilitres; a tasting glass is included. During the tour, Philipp creates an atmosphere that brings people together and shares stories about whisky, Scotland and life. At the same time, participants on the walk also get to know Beckum better. The ‘Whisky Walk’ is aimed equally at beginners, connoisseurs and enthusiasts. Each tasting features a new selection of whiskies.
