Open all-day school

All five primary schools in Beckum offer extensive extracurricular activities in cooperation with the respective provider as part of the open all-day school (OGS) as well as reliable care until 4:00 pm for primary school children.

The Mütterzentrum Soziales Netzwerk gGmbH is the responsible body for OGS at Martinschule, Grundschulverbund Sonnenschule, Friedrich-von-Bodelschwingh-Schule and Roncallischule. The primary school an den Kastanien is run by the DRK-Kreisverband Warendorf-Beckum e.V..

Das Angebot der OGS ist freiwillig. Die Anmeldung erfolgt schriftlich für die Dauer der Grundschulzeit.

After admission, the child is obliged to attend OGS at least until 15:00 on every school day.

If required, the providers offer childcare before 08:00 (early care) and on school-free days.

During the Easter and autumn holidays and for three weeks in the summer holidays, children can also take part in the OGS programme.

Cancellations must be made in writing by the end of the school year (31 July). In the current school year, cancellation is possible in justified exceptional cases.

The town of Beckum charges a public-law parental contribution for attendance at the OGS. The monthly contribution amount is based on the financial capacity of the person liable to pay the contribution. The amount of the parental contribution is set out in Annex 2 of the statutes of the City of Beckum on the levying of parental contributions
for the use of child day care.
