Election workers wanted
Electoral assistants play a key role in ensuring that elections are fair, transparent and efficient. Their tasks are varied. They support the proper conduct of the election, for example by registering voters, issuing ballot papers and helping to count the votes in the evening from 6.00 pm.
Polling assistants must be at least 16 years old and a citizen of an EU member state. No special prior knowledge is required. Training sessions are offered for the individual tasks. Poll workers receive a refreshment allowance of 60 euros and a direct insight into the election process.
