From flights of fancy to culinary delights
A special highlight awaits visitors this year: the impressive 40 metre high tower, a chain carousel that offers a spectacular bird's eye view, is an absolute must for all funfair fans! The funfair starts on Thursday and attracts visitors with exciting rides, fragrant treats and numerous stalls.
Musical enjoyment for every taste
From Friday, the stage will become the centrepiece of the festival: live bands from various genres - from soulful singer-songwriters to rousing pop and cult hits - will ensure a great atmosphere. Band names such as Remote Bondage, Flotter 3er and Die barmherzigen Plateausohlen promise a varied programme. The local dance and sports groups also inspire with impressive performances. On Friday and Saturday evenings, a DJ and live acts will provide the perfect sound to get you dancing and turn night into day.
Indulgence, shopping and great prizes
Bargain hunters will get their money's worth at the flea market. If you would like to run a stall, please register with the Neubeckum local history association by 16 May at kontakt@heimatverein.neubeckum.de.
The sales and snack stalls offer beautiful, useful and delicious things. Another highlight this year is the French gourmet market with its exquisite specialities. The open Sunday from 1 to 6 p.m. invites you to take a relaxed stroll through the shops - the perfect opportunity to combine the city festival and shopping. Attractive prizes are up for grabs in the big competition organised by the trade association, which will be drawn at 6 pm on Sunday evening.
A festival for the whole family
There is a special children's programme for younger visitors, packed with entertaining activities and demonstrations. From Punch and Judy shows to face painting and balloon sculptures, there is something for every age group so that the little ones can enjoy the weekend to the full.
"The Neubeckum town festival promises 3 days full of entertainment, community and unforgettable moments for the whole family," says Mayor Michael Gerdhenrich, summing up the programme.
Admission to the city festival is free and everyone is welcome to join in the celebrations.
