City cycling from 10 to 30 May

Beckum cycles for the climate again

From 10 to 30 May , all residents, clubs, businesses, schools, organisations and council members are invited to cycle as many distances as possible in a climate-friendly way and collect kilometres together.

City cycling is a Germany-wide competition in which the most active municipalities, teams and individual cyclists are honoured. In Beckum, there are once again attractive prizes to be won by all participants this year.

Cycling for the good life: Under this motto, the towns and municipalities in the Warendorf district want to motivate people to take part. Every kilometre cycled saves CO₂, promotes personal health and sets an example for sustainable mobility.

Take part, install the app, collect kilometres

Anyone who lives, works, goes to school or belongs to a club in Beckum can register for free at www.stadtradeln.de/beckum. With the city cycling app, you can conveniently record the distances travelled via GPS and credit them directly to your own team and Beckum. This increases the joint kilometre count and also contributes to the overall ranking of the Warendorf district.

Record result last year - now top it together!

In 2024, 973 participants in 62 teams covered a total of 161,207 kilometres in Beckum, saving 26,760 kilograms of CO₂ - a strong signal for climate protection. This great result is set to be surpassed in 2025!

The campaign is coordinated by Denise Grünebaum and Max Hegemann at the town of Beckum, who are looking forward to numerous participants and another successful town cycling event.
