Beckum cleans up

Many hard-working hands for a clean Beckum

In Beckum, many scouts and employees of the Pfeiffer company, among others, went through the parks, leisure areas and the banks of the Werse and streams to collect the rubbish found there. A bicycle was fished out of the Werse. A toilet decorated with shells was even found along the footpaths in the industrial estate.

The employees of Christian Pfeiffer were also present.

Many helping hands were also out and about in Roland and found, among other things, the frame of a handcart and bottles. In Vellern, rubbish was collected from the entire neighbourhood with the support of the Vellern local history association. The most striking find here was a hydrant sign in the ditch.

Verve was already active in Neubeckum on 17 February.

During term time, a number of schools and kindergartens as well as the Protestant parish took part in the rubbish collection campaign.

This year, a total of around 3 cubic metres of rubbish was fished out of the green spaces where it definitely didn't belong.

The campaign was once again supported this year by the waste management company of the Warendorf district.
