Scenario with "Peer Gynt"

Singers wanted for project choir

As part of this year's open-air event "Szenario", the renowned NN Theatre from Cologne will perform Henrik Ibsen's play "Peer Gynt" on 26 July on Beckum's market square. The production will be enriched by a project choir, which will play a leading role in the musical framework of the play.

We are looking for singers for this project choir under the direction of Stefan Schoenefeldt. Rehearsals take place every Friday from 8 to 9 pm at the Kulturbahnhof Beckum, Bahnhofplatz 1. The project is free of charge for all participants. The first meeting followed by a rehearsal is on 26 April at 8 pm at the Kulturbahnhof. Practice media are available for the singers. So it's no problem if you can't attend rehearsals for a while.

If you would like to become part of the planned choir, please contact Stefan Schoenefeldt at info@kulturbahnhof-beckum.de or 0171 2055419.

Norwegian Faust
The NNTheatre from Cologne, known for its innovative interpretations of classical works, dedicates "Peer Gynt" to a dramatic poem that is considered the "Norwegian Faust". The story of Peer, a young farmer's son who is torn between desire and reality, fantasy and fact, touches on timeless themes ranging from identity, appearance and reality to the power of the imagination.
